OUR STORY

Spaces Where Women Feel
Seen, Heard And Valued.

For more than ten years, that place existed quietly. It was called Raggydolls.

Women gathered in confidence.

No funding.

No publicity.

No organisation.

Only trust.

Those gatherings proved something important.

The need was real.

Women did not come because they needed another project. They came because they finally felt understood. Hablo RISE is the next chapter. We are taking what existed quietly behind closed doors and building it into a sustainable organisation so that no British Somali woman has to rely on chance to find belonging.

OUR VISION

We are building a home.
Not simply a building.

A home where every British Somali woman knows she belongs. A place where nobody has to prove how Somali they are. Or how British they are. A place where women reconnect with their mother language, culture, food, poetry, history and one another. A place to celebrate Eid or break their fast if they have nowhere else to go.

A place where mothers raising mixed-heritage Somali children can find community and help their children develop a positive connection to their identity and see themselves in others.

A place where women can ask difficult questions without fear. A place where there is always a big sister ready to walk beside them. A place where acceptance comes before judgement. Because belonging changes lives.
